Destinie Hopkins of Phoenix Touch Bodyworks

Located in northeast Albuquerque, Phoenix Touch Bodyworks Studio of Alchemy & Anima offers complete transformation - body, mind and spirit. It's the creation of Destinie Hopkins: master personal trainer, licensed intuitive massage therapist, esthetician, and sports nutrition counselor. Destinie calls herself a restorative artist. "My place is a sanctuary for renewal and transformation," she says. "I restore people's health and wellness, their beauty, their mindset."

Behind the 'Phoenix'

The name Phoenix Touch wasn't chosen by accident. "It's really about the legend of the Phoenix," she explains. "It's about rebirth, it's about transformation and going through those changes. You meet your worst self and burn it all down to the ground and then you rise from it. I've had many experiences like that in my life, and a lot of the people that are drawn to me, that's what draws them here."

"I grew up in a boxing gym," she says. "I've always had a love for fitness… fitness saves lives. It's a root medicine that I think everyone needs for mental health, anxiety, depression, addiction."

As a personal trainer she’s worked with bodybuilders, boxers, soccer and football players, MMA fighters, and competitive fitness athletes. Over time, she added formal training in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. "I absolutely love the body," she says. "But I wanted to do more than just break it down or build it. I wanted to heal it.”

Destinie's grandfather had a name for her long before any of this existed. He called her "Life Giver”, and that nickname has quietly become her signature.

More Than Just Massage 

The Bodywork at Phoenix isn’t just your basic “spa massage” - it’s work focused on healing and rejuvenation of your entire self.

Destinie’s signature service, the Intuitive Massage, is customized for YOU: she reads your body, identifies what it needs, and addresses the whole picture. Her practice begins with Swedish and deep tissue as a foundation but changes based on what your body needs on that particular visit. 

Destinie also specializes in Sacred Lomi Lomi, a Hawaiian modality focused on the spirit as much as the physical body, working through energy channels to realign, nurture, and revitalize. She also practices myofascial release and Jin Shin Do, a form of acupressure that follows the same pathways as acupuncture without the needles.

Esthetic Services

Destinie is also a trained esthetician offering a wide menu of skin therapies, from anti-aging treatments to corrective work for hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, and scarring. She offers galvanic therapy, microneedling, and a variety of chemical peels, all approached with the same holistic lens she applies to everything else.

"I make sure people are feeling good in their skin as well," she says. "It all works together."

Fitness and Nutrition Coaching

Beyond the spa, Phoenix Touch houses a private fitness studio where Destinie works with clients one on one. At Phoenix, fitness is treated as medicine, and movement is the pathway to mental and emotional health.

"I really like to train people from within," she says. "To make it count and to change their life. I want to be able to treat someone as a WHOLE, that’s why my practice is holistic.. and that’s why I also do lifestyle coaching, because it's all connected."

The Stories That Define Her Work

The transformations Destinie has guided at Phoenix Touch go far beyond the physical: a self-harming teenager who once couldn't do a single pushup went on to lose 145 pounds, play college football, and become a certified fitness trainer, while a woman drowning in grief and alcohol dependency rebuilt herself so fully that her own daughter now aspires to compete in college sports. For Destinie, those outcomes are the whole point. "My practice is really to heal the heart and the soul and the mind and the spirit," she says. "It's a rebirth and a reset in life."

Dream Weaver: Life Coaching

One of the most exciting developments at Phoenix Touch is the formal launch of Destinie's life coaching service, Dream Weaver.

“A lot of times people are sick in their body because they’re sick in their mind. I want people to love who they are on the outside by healing them on the inside. I'm a dream weaver," she says without hesitation. "I really do try to make people's dreams come true. I want to inspire them mentally. I want to introduce them to a lifestyle they're probably not so familiar with and let them know there are many different avenues to healing.” That’s Destinie’s inspiration for bringing life coaching to her clients. “Sometimes people just need someone to turn the light on or see them or hold space for them and give them a new perspective."

Telehealth coaching sessions are already available, and in-person Dream Weaver coaching launches in May 2026. "It gives me an opportunity to know you and to learn you and to know what you need," she says. "That's the seed… I’m here to listen to you and to guide you - not to diagnose or prescribe. I want to inspire a holistic and alchemical transformation (within you) that honors the cyclic nature of things."
